Management at this distinguished scientific academy wanted to combine multiple technical libraries in a centralized location to provide room for growth and better access. They found an ideal area adjacent to the employee cafeteria. The new Aurora Office 1000 system replaces old-style fixed nut and bolt shelving and uses 50% of the former space. All employees now have convenient access to the centralized library containing books and periodicals. The new mobile system is surrounded by a glass wall inviting scientists to view and use its contents. It has plenty of room for expansion and features Wood-Tek Maple End Panels to complement the office environment. Capital Office beat the competition, the local Spacesaver dealer, due to a better design in system layout. Bill Lenox’s winning design takes advantage of the glass surround walls by showcasing rows of magazine doors to prominently display scientific periodicals. Capital Office did not have the lower bid over Spacesaver. |
